We’re seeking a proactive and dynamic Duty Manager to join our Front Office team. This hands-on role requires you to be the primary point of contact for both guests and internal departments, ensuring seamless communication and problem-solving. With no porters or concierge, you’ll be leading from the front—checking guests in and out, handling luggage, and quickly responding to guest needs.
Your ability to think on your feet, adapt to ever-changing situations, and be the go-to person for staff and guests alike will be crucial to your success. This is more than a desk job; you’ll be managing guest expectations, resolving challenges, and collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations during your shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for all guest and departmental inquiries during your shift.
- Assist the Rooms Division Manager and Senior Duty Manager in maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Management of Guest Services team while on shift.
- Ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes (Opera System) and address special guest requests.
- Reconcile accounts, maintain accurate cash and credit transactions, manage valuables and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Handle guest complaints with professionalism and implement effective solutions.
- Support all hotel departments and guest queries.
- Manage room bookings via online, email, and phone.

The Guest Service Agent is responsible for the smooth running of the Front Office Department at Jackalope. It’s an eventful role with many different areas of responsibility. The position requires an agent who can handle all types of people and situations. Day to day this role can change depending on what is happening in the business and this person needs to adapt easily to changing situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting and checking-in and checking-out guests (System used : Opera)
- Providing support to all departments (food & beverage, housekeeping, administration)
- Maintain accuracy of cash and credit transactions within your department
- Providing personalised, high standard of service to all guests
- Assist with all guest inquiries and managing guest feedback
- Organising the day for the incoming arrivals
- Ensuring the service provided to our guests is of a high, 5-star standard

We are on the lookout for strong section waiters to join our team in Doot Doot Doot, our award winning, one hatted restaurant. A destination dining experience, offering high quality local produce with a purposeful focus on exploration, creativity and the delight that can be found in the unexpected.
