The Role
Manage a section within the kitchen with the assistance of Commis and Apprentice Chefs.
Ensure that dishes are prepared and cooked according to the specific restaurant requirements.
Ensure that stock is rotated and controlled.
Ensure the cleaning schedule is adhered to and that cleaning tasks are delegated as appropriate.
Maintain a detailed knowledge of the full menu and changing specials.
Ensure compliance with legal requirements of food hygiene regulations.
Ensure all policies, procedures, standards and guidelines are carefully adhered to.
The Successful Candidate will
A formal Commercial Cookery Certification .
A minimum of two years’ experience as a Commis Chef in a hotel kitchen environment.
Possess great attention to detail.
Exceptional teamwork and time management skills.
Superior communication skills and high standard of personal presentation.
A working knowledge and understanding of HACCP procedures.
Ongoing commitment to quality and providing a truly unique experience to our guests .
The flexibility to work various shifts on a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
